A red cotton 'open robe' style of gown. I based this gown on a drawing from Costume Close-up of a robe a l'anglaise which had been adapted to suit the new high-waisted style. The pattern is from Patterns of Fashion.
This is a really fun little robe, and it helps expand my regency wardrobe. It looks great over either my white muslin gown or my sister's blue gown. I'd love to try this style again in a more elaborate fabric this time.
